Inflammation, prostate, transabdominal ultrasonography
Transabdominal ultrasonography is the best imaging modality for evaluation of the prostate because it allows for evaluation of the prostatic parenchyma. Inflammation (yellow arrows) appears as diffuse and/or focal to multifocal increased echogenicity as seen within the parenchyma of the right (A) and left (B) prostatic lobes.
