Anaplasma marginale, bovine blood smear
Anaplasma marginale in bovine blood, Wright-Giemsa, 100X oil immersion. Intracellular organisms appear as basophilic, spherical inclusions generally located near the margin of erythrocytes. Echinocytes are frequently present.
