Canine heartworm disease, mild radiographic lesions (VD)
Mild canine heartworm disease in a 5-year-old German Shepherd Dog, ventrodorsal projection. Note enlargement of the right caudal lobar pulmonary artery (greater than the width of the ninth rib) and the small bulge in the region of the main pulmonary artery, again suggesting mild pulmonary hypertension. MPA, main pulmonary artery; RA, right atrium, RV, right ventricle, LV, left ventricle, RPA, right pulmonary artery, CVC, caudal vena cava.
