Comparison of fungal cultures, Microsporum canis and Nannizzia gypsea
Side-by-side comparison of the growth of Microsporum canis (left) and Nannizzia gypsea (right). Pathogens were inoculated on dermatophyte test medium at the same time. In comparison to M canis, N gypsea is white to buff, and the colony has a more powdery to granular appearance.
