Eosinophilic ulcer, less common presentation, cat

Cat with an eosinophilic ulcer (indolent ulcer). Note the well-circumscribed ulcerative lesion on the upper lip, with raised edges at the mucocutaneous junction. Because this ulcer was unusually aggressive in presentation, a skin biopsy was performed to confirm the diagnosis and rule out other causes (eg, neoplasia).
