The seven windows of the fast localized abdominal sonography of horses (FLASH) examination, enabling a thorough evaluation of horses with colic. 1. Ventral abdominal window (black arrows), moving from xiphoid to inguinal region. 2. Gastric window, centered at 10th intercostal space (ICS). 3. Splenorenal window, centered at the dorsal 17th ICS. 4. Left middle abdominal window, centered at the middle third of the abdomen. 5. Duodenal window, centered at the 14th ICS. 6. Right middle abdominal window, centered at the middle third of the abdomen. 7. Cranial ventral window, just caudal to the triceps.
