Hemorrhagic bowel syndrome

Small intestine affected by necrohemorrhagic inflammation, with its serosal layer covered with fibrin. The part proximal to the segment obstructed by a blood clot is distended by fluid accumulation, whereas the distal part of the small intestine appears empty.
