Paranasal sinuses, horse

Anatomy of the paranasal sinuses: 1, sphenopalatine sinus (1A, sphenoidal sinus [fluorescent green]; 1B, palatine sinus [brown]); 2, frontal sinus (dark gray); 3, caudal maxillary sinus (yellow); 4, rostral maxillary sinus (orange); 5, dorsal conchal sinus (pink); 6, ventral conchal sinus (olive green). The diagram was obtained using CT reconstruction from an embalmed cadaver head. Note that there can be slight anatomical asymmetry between the left and right sides, as in this example image.
