Saanen wether with scrapie

The same wether as in the previous photograph is pictured here 5 months later. At this time it was in poor body condition, pruritic (scratching itself with its horns), and fearful (hiding behind a feeder in the pen when approached). It was subsequently diagnosed with scrapie.
