Spinal osteomyelitis, snake
Spinal osteomyelitis in snakes is not uncommon and is frequently associated with chronic bacterial disease, especially Salmonella. Biopsy may be difficult due to the proximity of the spinal cord, in which case blood culture should be pursued.
