Unstained wet mount of coccidia, intestine of a goldfish
Photomicrograph of a wet mount prep of intestine from a goldfish (Carassius auratus). If the intestine is empty, coccidia can be more easily seen in wet mount preps of intestine. Coccidia were observed throughout most of the intestine of this moribund, emaciated goldfish. Unstained wet mount; original magnification, 400×.
