Infectious bovine keratoconjunctivitis, corneal perforation and complete globe rupture, steer
In this steer, an ulcer associated with infectious bovine keratoconjunctivitis was first noted on day 0, and the animal was treated with systemic antimicrobials. On day 7, the ulcer had a dark center suggestive of impending perforation. On day 14 the iris had prolapsed as a result of corneal perforation, and on day 28 the globe had ruptured. From day 35 to day 77, the corneal injury healed, with scar formation and superficial corneal neovascularization.
